In addition to her business activities at Pacific Ocean Partners Group, Ms. Thanh Le is the founder and CEO of The YOUniverse – an organization dedicated to promoting the development of art for the young generation of Vietnam.

From her own experiences, Ms. Thanh Le realized that art is not only a hobby, but also a great bridge between parents and children. She is always concerned with an art space for parents and children to develop and grow together. That has led her to open the path to develop a creative playground. And The YOUniverse was born with the mission of becoming a pioneer in creating unique art experiences, nurturing and developing young talent.

Gentile

Director

Nicholas Gentile – vocal teacher, conductor, composer and musical director, has collaborated with big names such as Stephen Schwartz and Alan Menken. He has taught at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, the Australian Academy of Music and many prestigious arts schools. With experience performing on major stages such as the West End (UK) and The Kennedy Centre (USA), Nicholas is currently the Director of The YOUniverse and the Artistic Director of Shrek the Musical.

Eilannin Harris-Black

Education manager

Eilannin Harris-Black – Artistic Advisor and Dance Instructor for The YOUniverse, holds a Masters in Musical Theatre Performance from the Royal College of Dramatic Art, and is an experienced dancer, choreographer and lecturer. She is the founder and Academic Director of Theatre Blacks (Sydney) and has appeared in international musicals including Grease, Dancing Queen and TopGun! The Musical.

Brittanie
Shipway

Artistic Advisor

Brittanie Shipway – Gumbaynggirr and Turkish storyteller, works in a variety of fields including singing, acting, writing and screenwriting. She is the author and lead actress of A Letter For Molly, nominated for Best Play at the 2022 Broadway World Awards.

Brittanie received a Dreaming Award from the Australia Council for the Arts and developed the musical Yellow Rock – a work celebrating Gumbaynggirr culture. She has also written and performed projects such as Salt & Biber for ABC Radio, Gözleme for SBS Voices, and has written for many hit musicals.

A talented actress, Brittanie has made her mark at the Sydney Opera House as Hermia (The Lovers), Margaret Whitlam (The Dismissal), and in musicals such as Chess, The Sapphires, Jesus Christ Superstar, Kinky Boots, Funny Girl…

Dr. Trevor
Jones

Artistic Advisor

Dr. Trevor Jones is an award-winning conductor, music director and educator with extensive experience in opera, musical theatre, cabaret and popular orchestral music. Passionate about education, he completed his PhD in 2022, focusing on multi-genre performance and actively promoting the development of Australian musical theatre.

Trevor is also an internationally renowned cabaret and piano bar artist with a rich and diverse repertoire. He is currently the Artistic Advisor of The YOUniverse.

Philip
Quast

Artistic Advisor

Philip Quast is a performing arts icon, prominent on both Broadway and Hollywood. Growing up on a farm, he has learned many valuable lessons for his artistic journey. Philip is known worldwide for his role as Inspector Javert in the 1987 Australian production of “Les Misérables”, a role that earned him numerous prestigious awards such as the Sydney Theatre Critics and MO Awards. He continued to affirm his talent with the role of Georges Seurat in “Sunday in the Park with George”, winning the Laurence Olivier Award. Philip has received many other nominations, including the role of Juan Peron in “Evita” in 2006, demonstrating his incredible acting and singing skills.

Dang Chau Anh

Artistic Advisor

NSƯT Đặng Châu Anh, born in 1972, graduated with a major in Conducting from the Vietnam National Academy of Music. Since 1997, she has been a lecturer in the Faculty of Theory, Composition, and Conducting and currently serves as the Head of the Conducting Department at the academy. Beyond teaching, Đặng Châu Anh has also made a mark as a television host for music programs on VTV, known for her graceful hosting style and captivating voice. She actively engages in international artistic activities, having served as a jury member for global choir competitions and as a representative of the World Cultural Alliance (Interkultur) in Vietnam. In 2019, she was honored with the title of Meritorious Artist by the State. Currently, Đặng Châu Anh serves as the Artistic Advisor of The YOUniverse, dedicating her expertise and passion to fostering artistic development in the younger generation.

Trevor is also an internationally renowned cabaret and piano bar artist with a rich and diverse repertoire. He is currently the Artistic Advisor of The YOUniverse.
